Outfit 1
Well into fall, ponchos are a great choice for a cold day. I personally love wearing them to school because they double as a blanket to take naps in class. They’re really coming back into style and Who What Wear tells us that ponchos are “suddenly having a moment”. I paired this poncho with some light wash jeans and some black boots to highlight the bold stripe. Over the knee boots are really hot right now, as seen on celebrities such as Rihanna and Gigi Hadid. I feel like they can really tie a look together.

We’re living through the 90’s again with round sunglasses, chokers, mom jeans and crop tops popping up again, but by far my favorite 90’s trend to bring back is overalls. Popsugar tells us that now that this trend is in full swing we’re treating overalls almost like jeans. They’re comfortable and made in so many different styles, materials, and patterns. I wore my overalls with a thick crop top with fall colored stripes to truly make this a fall look.
Outfit 3
You really can’t go wrong in fall with a simple sweater and scarf duo. I wore a light beige cable-knit sweater with a blue infinity scarf. It’s a classic, cozy look to go out and pick apples or meet a friend for coffee. I tortured my dog by making her wear an argyle print doggy sweater to accompany my look. I love argyle because it’s almost like a fancy plaid. We’re both cozy and ready for the cooler fall weather to come.
Outfit 4
We’re halfway through fall now and nearing the cold winter, so naturally we need to change parts of our usual fall outfits to fit the change in temperature and weather. In this outfit, Carla is wearing light blue jeans and a black ribbed turtleneck shirt styled with beige ankle boots. This look could definitely go as a casual fall outfit, however by adding the big knit sweater the outfit begins to fit in as more of a cozy end-of-fall look, perfect for the colder days when all you want to do is wrap up in a warm blanket.
Outfit 5
If I could, I would wear scarves and boots all year around because they can make any outfit look and feel more stylish. Scarves and boots make me feel cozy and very comfortable which is why they are a great addition to fall outfits. In this look, I styled a striped sweater with high-waisted black jeans, a large grey scarf, heeled brown boots, and a dark brown belt to tie the outfit together. Basically, any classic fall outfit consisting of jeans and a sweater can be “styled up” by adding the right pair of boots, a scarf, or a belt as accessories.
Outfit 6
As Chloe mentioned earlier, the 90’s are coming back, so I decided to try wearing fishnet tights underneath a pair of ripped blue jeans. I paired the bottoms with a dark mustard sweater and my black combat boots from my all time favorite store: H&M. The fishnet tights added an edge to the outfit and the boots made it even edgier. If you wanted you could style the tights underneath ripped overalls or underneath a fall dress or skirt. Any outfit where you add these tights you will be giving your look an edge, and I think they can make so many “basic” fall outfits look cooler. If you want an outfit that stands out among everyone else’s simple jeans and sweater look, try adding fishnet tights.
