Are you learning a language? Are you fluent in any language besides English? Whether you’ve been learning this language for a year or your whole life, you could write for MLHS’s brand-new online World Language Literary Magazine, Linguae Mundi!
Wait… what even is a literary magazine?
A literary magazine is essentially a regular magazine. Except, instead of the latest advances in medicine or celebrity gossip, literary magazines contain short stories, poetry, essays, art, and more.
Okay, so what’s a world language literary magazine?
A world language literary magazine is just what you’d expect it to be: it’s a literary magazine in languages besides English.
Linguae Mundi (meaning “languages of the world” in Latin) is MLHS’s brand-new, first-ever online world language literary magazine.
What do I have to do if I sign up?
If you sign up to be a writer, you can contribute poetry, short stories, music, art, and more to the magazine — as long as it’s not in English. But remember, you don’t have to be fluent!
How much of a commitment will it be?
There’ll be very few meetings and no harsh deadlines. Your writing can be as short or as long as you’d like!
What if I can’t make it to meetings?
No problem! Most of the work will be done outside of school. If we have any meetings, they’ll be more of a check-in to see how everything is going.
