This week we decided to try Ah’ Pizz- the nice pizza place in Denville. It was not that faraway, and the location is great because after grabbing your pizza, you could go right next door and get a drink from Starbucks, or walk down the street and get some ice cream from Denville Dairy.
The décor and staff are both so nice. The restaurant has a nice casual feel to it, and the wait staff make you feel at home. The waiters were great: the food came out quickly, the waiters were constantly checking up on us to see how the food was, and they were happy to answer any questions we had about their specials and options.
They even go above and beyond; when Cali had left her leftover pizza box by accident, the waiter had come three stores down to Starbucks just to return it! If that isn’t devotion to customer satisfaction what is?
Ah’ Pizz is a great place to grab lunch as their lunch specials offer great combos at low prices. We decided to try two of their combos, one regular pizza and an appetizer, to report back on. The ‘Il Bambino’ special came with a 6-inch marguerite pizza, a mini soup or salad, and a fountain drink- all for the low price of $7.99!
Customers get a variety of soups and salads to choose for, but we went for the classic Caesar salad. The salad had the perfect amount of dressing on it, and the lettuce still had that mouthwatering crunch that we all love.
The pizza came out not too long after our salads, and it was delicious. Its thin but fluffy crust, chunks of melted mozzarella cheese, and crushed tomatoes hit the spot every time. Their pizzas aren’t too greasy, but still retain the favorable moisture from the creamy marinara sauce that keeps you coming back for more. It was also the perfect size. Together with the salad, the pizza left you stuffed and satisfied.
The potato soup is another crowd favorite. The soup is filled with potato and a creamy mixture with hints of pepper and pieces of bacon. You can get this soup as an appetizer, or if you would like the $6.99 option, with a soup and a salad!
The soup is also a great size so you do not get to full before your main meal comes out. Usually a perfect, crunchy Caesar salad compliments this meal and gives you flavors that will make your mouth water.
The soup and salad is definitely a good choice when coming to Ah’ Pizz, not only because of the cheap price, but also the amazing flavors and food. Although we all died for the Cardoza (which is very similar to mozzarella sticks), a different kind of dough is fried around the cheese. Not only was delicious, but it came with a great marinara sauce which only added to the wonderful flavor!
We recommend anytime from a chill Saturday dinner, to a fun night out with your family, or even a nice Sunday lunch which can be followed with the many sweet dessert options in the area!
