In 2007, the United Nations declared that the World Day of Social Justice would be celebrated on February 20th each year. Initially, the idea of social justice predominantly dealt with the workplace, regarding issues such as wages and unemployment (read more here). Today, however, many would argue that social justice has taken on a new meaning. We often see the words “social justice” used on social media or in the news. So what does social justice mean to the students of MLHS?
